Cartier, conversations and the Retreat everyone’s talking about

Something great is coming in September

From Dalbir’s Desk

Hello friends

I hope you're enjoying the summer, even if, like me, you’re watching the skies tip down with rain today.

The past couple of weeks have been a little less “stay in my lane” and a little more “out in the world,” which has been refreshing. I’m definitely someone who can fall into long, focused stretches of staying in, but getting out and about lately has reminded me just how valuable connection is.

One recent highlight was attending the Harper’s Bazaar Privé breakfast at the V&A, followed by the incredible Cartier exhibition. What made it extra special was the private guided tour by none other than Jenny Rourke, the Head of Archive at Cartier London. Her knowledge was unreal. Ten years in the making, this exhibition is honestly breathtaking. If you can, please go. It’s a rare opportunity to see craftsmanship, creativity and global heritage at such a scale.

I also had the chance to join a beautiful event with Mauli Rituals and Yaitte, where I spoke to an amazing group of women about why Santalan is different from any other coaching you might have had. The feedback reminded me how much women are craving guidance, space and honest conversation in their lives. We all need more of that.

And then there was a heartwarming community gathering in Richmond at the Bingham Riverhouse Hotel. It was a much more relaxed event than the usual business networking format. It was simply people in a room, sharing real stories about their businesses and lives. No pressure. Just a cup of tea, a timer (which everyone went over, of course!) and the space to speak freely.

The biggest reminder from all of this?
We all need places to talk.
Places that are not about hustling or proving ourselves, but simply about being seen, heard and understood.

If you don’t have a coach or formal mentor, I’d say find a peer. Find a community where you can show up honestly and say what’s really on your mind. That peer-to-peer support can be powerful beyond words.

✨ And finally, exciting news. We are just about to announce the next Santalan Retreat. It’s shaping up beautifully. If this is something you’ve been thinking about, pop your name on the waiting list. Spaces are limited and I’d love to welcome you in.

It is not every day you get to experience Cartier like this. The morning began with breakfast at the V&A, hosted by Harper’s Bazaar Privé, before stepping into a private guided tour of the sold-out Cartier exhibition.

The exhibition itself is extraordinary. Ten years in the making and filled with pieces that tell a story of unmatched craftsmanship, creativity and cultural heritage. What made it even more remarkable was hearing those stories come alive through Jenny Rourke, Head of Archive at Cartier London, whose insight into each piece was as fascinating as the jewels themselves.

It was one of those rare experiences that reminds you why artistry and heritage matter. If you can find a way to see it, do. It is truly breathtaking.

A meaningful morning with Mauli Rituals and Yaitte

What a lovely morning at the Mauli Rituals showroom in Kensal Rise with YAITTE. It felt intimate, intentional and energising in a way that only happens when the right people are in the room.

YAITTE, with its contemporary and sustainable resortwear, brought style and relevance. Mauli Rituals, rooted in Ayurvedic skincare, added depth, calm and a focus on real quality. I was there representing Santalan Coaching, sharing what it means to coach differently and why true transformation involves every part of your life, not just your career.

But the real standout? The women.

Smart, engaged and genuinely present, they were there for the ideas, the energy and for one another — not just for the photos or tote bags. It was the kind of group that reminds you what community really looks like when people care about your growth, your voice and your work.

A huge thank you to Danielle Windsor and Anita Kaushal for creating something meaningful. Sometimes the most powerful spaces are the quietest ones, where conversation flows and ideas move.

If the last retreat is anything to go by, this one will be unforgettable. Four days of conversations, shared experiences and moments you will carry with you long after it ends.

Spaces are limited, and the waiting list is now open. I would love to welcome you.
