From Dalbir’s Desk

Over the past week, I posted on LinkedIn about something deeply personal to so many women: the feeling of becoming invisible. And the reaction was overwhelming. Comments, DMs, people saying “I thought it was just me.”

What struck me most is how many people are navigating this. Smart, capable, accomplished women who still have decades of contribution ahead… but who are quietly disappearing. Not because they’ve lost value — but because the world stopped looking.

This is not about women seeing themselves as victims. It’s a quiet realisation — that they don’t feel very visible anymore. And the great thing is, when that moment comes, it can be a turning point. You get to decide: do I want to disappear quietly, or do I want to rewrite the script?

As a transformation coach, my role isn’t to sit back and accept the status quo. It’s to challenge it. But you have to decide:
Do you want change?
Because if you do — I can help you make it happen.

This isn’t just about personal brand. It’s about being seen, being heard, and knowing your voice still matters — especially as we enter our late 40s and 50s.

So this week, I wanted to talk about visibility — and why reclaiming it might be one of the most powerful things you can do for yourself right now.

Stories shaping this week's conversation

The truth about visibility

Many brilliant women in their 40s and 50s are quietly disappearing. They’re doing the work. Showing up. Carrying on. But they don’t feel seen. And slowly… they begin to shrink.

Visibility isn’t about vanity. It’s about making sure the right people know what you stand for — and how powerful your presence still is.

5 ways to reclaim your visibility

  1. Audit how you’re showing up
Make sure people know what you do, what you care about, and what you want next.

  2. Don’t wait to be noticed
Visibility is your responsibility — not theirs.

  3. Tell your story
Your lived experience is your personal brand. Own it.

  4. Do the thing that feels awkward
Post that video. Write the bio. Try TikTok (if Alan Titchmarsh can, you can too).

  5. Find your people
Being seen starts with being in the right rooms. That’s what we do inside Santalan.
